From 20mm to 60mm: I Test Sigma’s New Full Frame Compact All-Rounder
Sigma has introduced the 20–60mm F2.8–4 DG Contemporary, a full-frame mirrorless zoom designed to cover ultra-wide scenes through short telephoto work without adding much bulk. It measures 72.2mm in diameter and weighs 385g in L-Mount or 375g in Sony E-mount. The lens focuses as close as 15.8cm at 28mm, reaching magnifications of 1:2.3 at 35mm and 1:2.9 at the telephoto end. Its optical design includes three aspherical and three SLD elements, while HLA autofocus is fast and quiet, with reduced focus breathing for video. Dust- and splash-resistant construction and a front-element coating add practical protection. For travel, hiking, street and hybrid shooting, it can replace several lenses while retaining close-up capability.

Laowa is releasing its first autofocus lens for Fujifilm X-Mount: a macro monster
Laowa is releasing its first autofocus lens for Fujifilm X-Mount, ending the long wait for autofocus Laowa glass on Fujifilm’s X system. A Nikon F-mount manual-focus version is launching alongside it, but the Fujifilm model is the central development. The announcement gives X-Mount photographers a new way to consider Laowa’s lens range without accepting manual focusing as a requirement. At the same time, the Nikon version retains a manual-focus approach, so the two releases serve different camera systems and working preferences. For Fujifilm users who have been interested in Laowa lenses but need autofocus, the X-Mount release is the practical change: it broadens the brand’s compatibility with everyday autofocus workflows.

OM System PEN Review – best-in-class features and style at an unbeatable price
The OM System PEN is reviewed as a long-awaited update to the cult-classic Olympus PEN-F and positioned as an everyday mirrorless camera. The review highlights best-in-class features, distinctive style and an unbeatable price, while asking whether the new model truly fulfils the PEN-F comparison. That framing makes the camera’s appeal broader than nostalgia: it is assessed as a practical daily-use body as well as a design-led product. For photographers choosing an everyday mirrorless camera, the key question is whether its combination of features, appearance and price fits their priorities rather than simply matching the reputation of its predecessor. The review is therefore most useful as a test of the PEN’s balance between character and everyday usability.
